CRYST^3 project establishes a new research activity and cold atoms at UNIBO.

The involved researchers possess expertise in laser spectroscopy and optical frequency metrology, laser cooling including dar-state cooling, Bose-Einstein condensation of atomic gases, optical lattices, atom interferometry and precision measurements of accelerations/forces. F. Minardi and M. Prevedelli have a consolidated experience with AMO experimental stups, image acquisition and analysis, computer control and synchronization of experimental protocols.
